A Seal of Approval

It was an amazing e-mail to receive. It said something to the effect of “you will receive the official package in a few weeks, but for now let this be a heartfelt congratulations that you have been awarded a Parents’ Choice Award.”
WOW! Bryan and I had both ‘visualized’ having a seal to place on the front cover of Storyland Yoga, but it was still an incredible thing to learn that the seal we would get to use was THE one that meant the most to us! Parent’s Choice Foundation is a non-profit foundation that since 1978 has been recommending children's media that have ‘staying power.’ Part of their mission is to select “fairly priced products that are fun, safe and socially sound.” Thanks PC for the seal of approval!
The next day the full list of winners in the 2010 Small Screen Awards category was released. Imagine my surprise to find that we are one of only 14 DVDs to win an award, and 5 of those 14 DVDs are Disney programs or programs associated with Disney. We are in good company, that is for sure.
I haven’t had the good fortune to see all of the programs just yet, but I am very excited to share a couple of the other winners with Lily. And since Storyland Yoga is already heavily requested by Miss Lily, these are the next two programs on our list:
The Jumpitz Shortcutz – Vol 2 Finding Fun
This DVD features 10 short segments starring a group of lively singer/dancer/jumpers who are positive and encouraging while imparting great messages about respecting nature, other cultures, exercise, recycling and more. Good fun...
Dan Zanes and Friends “The Fine Friends are Here!”
I’ve been a fan of Dan Zanes for several years now, ever since Lily was gifted a CD, Night Time. It is a classic that I may have enjoyed as much or more than Lily. Great songs and great vibes!
What DVD's are on your list?
Stay Playful,
Karen
