Consume_Less
Make the sustainable choice, be a Conscious Consumer.

Deciding to be a Conscious Consumer means you’ll be attentive to using resources more efficiently and consuming responsibly. And for most of us, a few less items in our closets and a little less food on our plates wouldn’t hurt us. In fact, it would probably help us – and our planet – be healthier.

Simple Ideas
  • Give your child a waste-free school lunch – use reusable containers
  • Turn one restaurant meal into two by putting half your meal in a to-go container before you eat – better yet, bring a container from home
  • Cut your shower one or two minutes shorter
  • Before you go shopping, consider this: The average U.S. person now consumes twice as much as they did 50 years ago, and people in the U.S. spend 3 - 4 times as many hours shopping as their counterparts in Europe
